IGNOU MCA Admission 2025-26: The last date to apply for IGNOU MCA course is 30th June, 2025. Masters of Computer application or MCA course is a 2 year undergraduate course for students who wish to learn computer applications and programming. It is an English medium course at IGNOU. Throughout this course a person can learn programming skills such as Python, Java, SQL, Oracle. One also learns Web development, data analysis, cybersecurity and AI ML. After you complete your graduation in BCA. It lays a foundation for you to study further the higher level of computer languages and applications. A person can choose among Software development, cybersecurity, cloud computing and Data science. The basic requirement for a person to continue MCA is that they should have completed BCA or any equivalent degree with having mathematics as a compulsory subject in class 12th. The fees for the course is nearly INR 68,000 for around 4 semesters.

IGNOU MCA Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification: Done Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering (BCA) or Equivalent Degree Or should have done B.Sc./B.Com./B.A. with mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduation Level. 

Minimum Percentage: Should have 50% minimum marks in graduation for general category and 45% in SC/ST category.

IGNOU MCA Admission 2025 Fees

IGNOU MCA Admission 2025 Fee is generally INR 13,000, and the IGNOU MCA Admission 2025 fee totally is 52,000 for the entire program. There is an extra development fee of INR 200/- and an extra INR 200/- for registration which are non-refundable. The total fee for IGNOU MCA course sums up to around INR 52,000. Students are required to pay fees every semester. Exams happen every semester as in exams will happen four times in the span of the 2 year course. You are required to re-register at the end of the first year for the second year. You would have to apply for the exam form before every TEE and re-register for another year.

IGNOU MCA Admission 2025

To apply for admission for MCA at IGNOU for the July, 2025 session follow the steps below:

STEP 1: Visit the ignou samarth portal i.e. ignou.samarth.edu.in  and click on new registration. Enter an active email id or phone number. Create an id and password. 

STEP 2: Login again with the ID and password that you created on the samarth website. 

STEP 3: Fill the application form with correct personal information and academic details. 

STEP 4: Submit the Scanned copies of the necessary documents such as ID proof, marksheets etc. 

STEP 6: Click on submit and verify the information. It will guide you to the payment portal. Complete the payment through UPI/Credit or Debit card. 

STEP 7: Submit the application form and download the acknowledgement slip for future reference.
