IGNOU Grade Card Status 2025: Not Complete means and Percentage

IGNOU grade Card is a document that has a student’s performance during a semester in end term examination and assignments. IGNOU Grade card gets updated from time to time and you can check your status after every Term end examination. It contains your grade, your marks and status of your completing that course. If you are a final year student in IGNOU, when your marksheet status gets completed , it is delivered to your address. In the evaluation process, Term end examination has a weightage of 70% and assignments have 30% weightage. If your IGNOU Grade Card is showing not complete it could be that your answer script isn’t checked yet.

STEP 1: Go to the official Ignou Website and go to student services. A menu will appear and select the result option in it. 

STEP 2: A grade card/Mark Sheet portal will open in a separate window. 

STEP 3: There will be a student login menu. Select Result for rom the drop down menu i.e. Term end examination or re-evaluation. 

STEP 4: Select the year and month of the term end examination result you’re looking for in the drop down menu from Term end result for. 

STEP 5: Enter your 10 digit unique enrolment number and click Search. 

STEP 6: Your IGNOU Grade Card will be visible.

For grading purposes in IGNOU, they take Assignments, projects, dissertations and  term end examinations for the evaluation process. Below are the weightage each one carry:

IGNOU Grade Card not Complete means

If by any chance your status of IGNOU Grade card shows “Not Complete” might be due to many reasons. The reasons are as follows:

  1. Your marks are not evaluated: If there is a blank in the marks of assignment or Term end evaluation, it means that your assignments or answer sheets are not evaluated yet and it may take some time to update your result. 
  2. You have not submitted Assignments or Projects: It might be that you missed the assignment, project or internship report upload date. 
  3. You have failed in the TEE: If your marks in the term end evaluation are not up to the mark or are low from the passing marks. 
  4. Missed your Practical exam: In any case if you have not given your practical examination. Your marks will not be visible and there will be a blank on it. 

 *Apart from the first case and the third case, like you have submitted your assignments, given practical you can contact your Regional centre for the IGNOU grade card related issues. 

IGNOU Grade Card re-evaluation 

If by any chance you feel that your marks are less or there is a mistake in the evaluation process of your answer sheets, you can apply for Re-evaluation. Your marks after re-evaluation will be updated in your grade card if changes are found. Follow the steps below for for re-evaluation:

STEP 1: Go to Apply for revaluation  and click on the declaration box and choose for which examination you want to apply for. Now select I Agree and Proceed. 

STEP 2: A different page will open. Enter your enrolment number, programme code and Login. 

STEP 3: Your Personal details will appear on the screen and in those details will be an option to select Exam Centre Code. Select your centre code from the drop down menu. 

STEP 4: Select courses for which you want to apply for re-evaluation. Then select you want to apply for Just re-evaluation, want copy of answer scripts only or both Re-evaluation & answer sheets. 

STEP 5: As per your selection, amount to be paid will be visible. The fee for re-evaluation is INR 750/- and answer scripts is INR 100/-

STEP 6: Click on add request and a summary will be visible. 

STEP 7: Students who have requested a copy of answer scripts have to submit their IGNOU Id card copy. 

STEP 8: Then click on Save and make payment. The payment portal will be open and you can pay through UPI/Netbanking/Debit Card/Credit Card as per your wish. 

IGNOU Grade Card Dispatch Status 

When Your results are published and the status of your grade card is complete for all the core and elective courses. This is only valid for the last year students. You don’t need to fill any form, it will be delivered to the address you’ve mentioned during the time of admission. It takes around 40-50 days to deliver your IGNOU Grade Card by post. In the convocation ceremony organised by IGNOU you’ll be given your degree certificate.

Q1. Am I Pass or fail if I have received a C grade in my IGNOU Grade Card?

Ans. If you’ve got grade C in your IGNOU Grade Card, you pass and must have received around 50-60%. 

Q2. What are the passing marks out of 100 in IGNOU?

Ans. You need to get 33 marks out of 100 to clear IGNOU exams.
