IGNOU B.Ed Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification: Candidate should have Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Science, Humanities or commerce.
Minimum Percentage: Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Mathematics or science should have at least 55% marks.

IGNOU B.Ed Entrance Exam
IGNOU conducts an entrance exam for B.Ed. which is a two hour exam with Multiple choice questions and is conducted online. There are a total of 100 questions where each question carries one mark making a total of 100 marks. There is no negative marking. The entrance exam occurs in both Hindi and English. Admission for the course occurs through the merit list of the entrance examination. The question paper has two sections i.e. A and B. Section A mostly has general awareness, logical reasoning and english comprehension and Section B is subject oriented from the student’s 10+2 subjects such as science, social science and mathematics. Section A has 80 questions while section B has 20 questions. There is a registration fee of around INR 1000/- that needs to be paid to register for the entrance exam. This year the exam was conducted on 16th March, 2025 and the result is yet to be declared.
IGNOU B.Ed Admission Fees
B.Ed. is a yearly program where per year the candidates are required to pay around INR 27,500. The total fees for the 2 year COURSE is INR 55,000. University has an application fee that is INR 200/- and university development fees that is INR 200/-. Both application fee and university development fees are non refundable. There will be term end examination for assessment every year conducted in June and in December. The examination fee for each Term end examination is INR 200/-. There is also an entrance test that takes place for B.Ed. admission that is Online B.Ed. Entrance Test whose registration fee is around INR 1000/-.
